Wine of year 2016

Under the wings of portal www.vinoteka-vinaren.sk has been assessed project Wines of year 2016.

It can be described with the slogan: "Do you have your favorite wine? Give your vote to it and win it ". And thanks to the support of a wide community of wine supporters, Apimed meadary gained a victory in the category of Wines from honey. The project is unique because the best Slovak wines are not chosen by a jury, but by the fans and supporters. The competition received 1,400 votes, which decided in 8 categories. The novelty was category of  the wine from honey, where APIMED meadary won the first and third place.

Primacy belongs to the world's most celebrated Trnava mead, which is made from the best sorts of floral honey, with hidden gifts of sun, endless variety and diversity of flowering meadows. It is made from the best sorts of floral honey to excel its pure honey flavor and aroma of fine natural extracts of herbs and spices. Apimed meadary won also the third place, in particular Old Slavic mead light, made of acacia honey. Thanks to this it has a distinctive honey flavor with a hint of freshly blooming acacia. Unmistakable is also its light yellow colour, reflecting the warm rays of the sun and freshly mown fields.
